Others may find they need additional help to reach lasting sobriety:

The LifeStar Boise group process is a successful and effective method for support, accountability, and sobriety. Treatment groups for individuals and their partners provide education about sexually compulsive behaviors, sexual addiction and relational trauma while giving tools and teaching skills for successful recovery and healing. Along with participation in the LifeStar program, we encourage all individuals to continue to work with their existing therapists and faith leaders.

More information about the LifeStar program can be found here.

For some, the above treatments are not enough:

Intensive Outpatient

These facilities specialize in creating an intensive jumpstart into recovery. Using a combination of treatment groups, individual therapy, and experiential exercises, these intensive outpatient programs (IOP) can be effective when other less invasive interventions are not enough.

Intensive Inpatient

There are also live-in facilities that specialize in sexual addiction treatment. They intensely monitor a person in recovery and the client attends daily therapy and groups to jump start their sobriety. These programs often include the spouses and/or families in the recovery process.

The LifeStar program is not intended to replace the support and interventions already in place, but to offer an intermediate step before considering intensive outpatient or inpatient interventions. LifeStar can also be a great support for those transitioning out of an IOP or Inpatient facility.
